The Taoist Association (Taiwan) connects Taoist temples (宮觀) across the island and runs the Taoist Academy — turning the living wisdom of the Tao (道, "the Way") into culture, education and community service.

Who We Are

Taiwan's national Taoist organization since 1966

History & Leadership

Founded in Taipei on 13 February 1966; the first chairman was Chang En-pu, the 63rd Celestial Master. Under current chairman Chang Cheng, the Association secured national recognition of Taoist Day (the first day of the lunar new year) in Taiwan's official calendar of commemorations.

To elucidate Taoist teaching, uphold its precepts, serve society, and promote harmony in the world.
